FIELD DAY 1996 @ KA2BEO

This was another great Field Day. We finally made a successful packet
contact, after trying for our third year now. The number of contacts
were down a few from last year, but we had a lot more fun. Bill's
(KB2RAR) wife, Linda, had her pet gorilla, Bradley, getting into the
hamming activities (see the photos). And to make this year's event
more interesting, a sudden storm approached that dropped a torrential
down-pour of rain on Bill's and Linda's heads as they tried to stop
the station flooding (see the photo of Bill). Local power went out,
which didn't bother our emergency-powered FD station. And, a twister
touched down locally (rare for our area). `see you all again next
